Re: Medieval II: Total War

Oooooh... this made me want so much to play the game again!

Potentior - a 40 minutes long R:TW town siege movie!

I'm assuming you turned the difficulty level up, Ty, but if not, try it.

Yea I have, they always do the same thing, with infantry they rush middle, cavalry attacks sides.... Depending on if they have Archers they sometimes just stop in fornt of you too... Or just plain out charge, never using complex manuevers or formations, and no microp management at all...

On easy the merely walk up to you and halt....

The game is jsut too easy, and on hte grand campaigne I have easily taken over pretty much all of europe in 70 moves... And I have a couple armies en route to holy land... I haven't picked back up on SP lately though since I was playing the SupCom beta.

Re: Medieval II: Total War

I loved the music of R:TW. I mean loved it, especially the battle themes and the Credits song. I'm seriously considering buying the game cheap right now just for that music (I'm one weird chap, eh? I already re-bought Dungeon Siege for nearly nothing just for the music).

I hated two things about R:TW, though: The lack of proper naval battle and the horrible city path-finding, as well as your inability to lock gates as you could in the Age of Empires series. I hated ordering my troops too close to the gate only to watch them run through it and get slaughtered.

Re: Medieval II: Total War

Yes and sorry to say, none of that was fixed in M2TW...
