I too stoped playing SWG after a year. I had so much fun while playing that game but like everyone says, they way SOE handles the game just made me stop playing it plus my whole guild had disbanded becuase of SOE too.

I'm still in SWG - have been since Beta 2.  I know it's wrong and bad, but I just can't give it up sad

Really excited about the EMU though - if that finally comes to fruition (and it's looking like it will) I'll drop official SWG like a shot to start over as a noob again.

What's the emu exactly? I'm assuming its some sort of user-made copy that's free to run.

yep, a quick google chech for SWG emulator will pull up a bunch of sites.  not finished for release but various servers running test code, so you can create a character, login and run around.

Just out of curiosity, will I need to be paying monthly to play at the SWGEmu server? I checked all over their site, but it's very sloppy and can't find anything OR is it free to everyone, you just need the game installed?
