Topic: yoda

i was just watching ep.3 and was wondering what speices is yoda? i sat there for 20 minutes thinking but couldn't come up anything. do you guys know? it keeps bothering me because its something that i know i used to know but i forgot. much appreciated, thanks.

Re: yoda

No species is ever given for Yoda in the movies, or in any lore that I can remember. If I recall correctly George Lucas never explored this as a way to add to the mystique surrounding the character back in the original trilogy, and I don't think he ever gave anyone else license to explore this either.

Re: yoda

Yoda is mystery and it's gonna stay like this, but in some movies we see other characters of his species (Episode I)

Re: yoda

Yesh, there was a name for the species the EU gave him. But I keep forgetting. As far as movie cannon goes he was supposed to be sort of a secret weapon the Jedi had.

Re: yoda

No, no name. Not even in EU. As of 2006's New Essential Guide to Alien Species it was listed as "Yoda's Species" and Wookieepedia calls it "unknown tridactyl species"
