Re: FirstStrike better hurry and launch

Please, Devs do not feel rushed by a couple of impatient people. I think Preacher knows very well what happens when a mod team gets pressured into releasing their mod too early.

As for people moving on to new games, you do know that more people are playing BF2 than they are 2142. Not everyone jumps at the newest shiny thing to come out.

From the videos I saw of ArmA on youtube and such, the game looked rather boring. Occasionaly running into an enemy, while hardly ever advancing the line. I'll admit that I've never played the game before but I for one am not excited by it.

The squeaky part may get the grease, but only because it's anoying and people want it to stop.

ArmA's more realistic and therefore slower, and most people avoid fighting until they are at a good position where they won't get shot by the enemy they aren't trying to kill. If you shoot an RPG at a tank at the wrong place, you'll get spotted by infantry and then you've got a pattern of holes in your body. Remember, every charachter is like a real human, so when killing an NPC you're killing something that's a threat to you unlike generic NPC #923423 from most other FPS games or the player that will respawn again in 15 seconds so no matter who or what you kill, player or NPC, it's rewarding.
