Topic: Defibulator

Hi there very new to this but wish to try and contribute where I can. Big Star wars fan

Sorry If this has already been posted still going through the forums

It mentions in the game feature on the front page

"The following Droids and handheld devices have been designated for inclusion into the game. 
Dependant on scenario and faction. 
     
MKIV Sentry Droid            Viper Probe Droid
Rebel Datapad                  Homing Beacon
Imperial Datapad              FX-7 Medical Droid
Defibrillator   Rebel Remote

well my question is the defib - does it fit into the original context of the films - I do not recall any defibs. Yet I do understand a need for a defib

My suggestion is - remember the cell scene with leia and vader and the ominious IT-O interogator droid came in - would it not be in keeping to have this appear hovering at the troopers side rather than pulling out a defbulator.

This I believe could be modeled on the similar items already in 2142 namely the squad leaders RD-4 otus or the SD-8 Accipiter.

I dunno about you but id prefer not to be tortured or interrogated when im lying around unconscious tongue

It was deemed necessary to have a defib for gameplay reasons ,however this does not mean there will be no medical droid.  Infact the ITO droid was created upn a medical droid ,which well.. looked more medic-like and freindly and was kitted out in blue and green , minus the torture-like devices.

The features on the site are quite old(as is most stuff, like kit loadouts etc) , theres plenty more gadgets included now. Its just not feasable for us to keep changing the site all the time, since a mod (ours atleast) is forever adapting to new ideas and features.

The defib we have is modelled upon the defib that appeared in Republic Commando. We try to stick to the movie as often a possible. Sometimes we have to dip into other sources tho.

The movies did not feature any defib because noone had a hearth failure wink

Indeed there was none but I think my defib looks very originaltrilogyish smile
