For a vehicle, a good polycount would be between 4000 and 6000. You would also have to model the LOD's, though:

Number of vehicle LOD steps and reduction in poly count.
LOD0 100%
LOD1 40%
LOD2 15%
LOD3 2-4%

euu.. i can animate just about anything really.. classical/2D/3D. That's what i'm studying.

I don't have anything saved up, and to be honest.. i'm still learning alot and never really been part of a productive group like this. So the whole production part of animating just never occured to me yet. so i might be out in the blue for that. But we use Maya.


edit: let's say i model the speeder bike for example.. what's the polycount for a regular ingame model?

Hmm, is there a way to convert/import/plugins 3DS files into maya?   ..our labs don't have 3Dmax.  hmm

a poly count like that should be for big tanks
a little speeder should be smaller than that (in me opinion for experience w/ other mods)
