Re: Ex-GC Players - Post your fond memories of GC here!

Most of my favorite moments revolve around Bonus Race... any time you could get a good dogfight going there was a great day... and sooo fun.

if i couldn't get a dogfight going there... i'd just skim by the heads of the speeder bike racers in my snow-speeder popping off the occasional "Warning shot".. the all time goal was to complete the entire race in a snowspeeder... and managed to do it to some extent (only getting altitude over that funny debri-cave thing that i couldn't get a speeder through no matter what angle i was at.)

of course.. my first venture into the "hall of honor" was pretty cool...

It's not Camping anymore, it's "Strategic Defense".

... I didn't ram you, i simply didn't care that you were in my way.

hamsters I pissed off so many ATST pilots on the Hoth map.  I was one of the proponents of the strategy where you'd point the nose of a snowspeeder at the legs of the walker, and suicide kill it.

It was just too hilarious to see the big, scrawny walker explode and fly three or four times its height into the air doing a slow, awkward flip.

Anyway, on one such occasion, I had an ATST lined up in my sights for such tardiness, and it was being escorted by two stormtroopers (snowtroopers).  As I hurtled toward the walker, one of them fired an anti-tank rocket in vain.  My speeder crashed into the legs of the walker, killing its crew and sending it flipping end over end straight above where it had just been standing.

The two snowtroopers were panicked, and started to run away from the site of the collision.  As the wrecked head of the walker hit the ground, it bounced twice, killing both of the troopers as they tried to escape.

Brilliant.

I was probably one of those ATST pilots you were trying to piss off so much, but it was an equal delight
to shoot down so many approaching snow speeders before they got a chance to ram you.Seeing those suckers explode right in front of your cockpit and slowly crash and burn was very satisfying.:)

Guns don't kill people,Stormtroopers do.

I called it the hall of honor.. dunno what it was really called. I can tell you it's a little pockit of in-bounds in the out of bounds area of the Tattooine map (one of my favorite maps, btw)... but it seems like there's some kind of code of not telling about easer eggs.. at least.. not this one...

I remember a little under a year ago.. I re-installed GC for the heck of it... and found that there was actually a couple of populated servers. I noticed Bongwater Commando and a couple other people I remember... It ends up... like 8 of us had all done the same thing, and just recently re-installed it for the heck of it, surprised to see other people around...

btw... did anyone ever get gcx to run? for some reason, i sure couldn't.

The interior looks sort of like its from Yavin IV, but GC didn't have any Yavin maps.

I got GCX running, but the bots weren't half as much fun to mow down as juicy human players.
