Re: X-Wing Y-Wing

Mabye it could be an option for it to be automated or manual?

That would be great.

Yeah, it's actually proven that some people's minds rationalize art in a 2D space while others just naturally think in 3D, even while simply drawing. So... woot! I think I'm 3D. tongue

Re: X-Wing Y-Wing

The logical problem is that we're very limited to the amount of controls we can use for our spacecraft. It's possible but would be tricky to get it working with the least amount of buttons as possible. It would take two keys just to manually open and close the s-foil wings. One key to open them, and one to close them. I haven't looked into the controls enough to see if there's a "toggle" type button. If there is, I could make the gear open and close by the press of the "g" key.

Simply put, I'll test around and see what happens. It depends on alot of factors. I will keep you guys updated.

Damn, beat me to it...

You should be able to implement toggle buttons.

Also, I reckon automatic landing gear is good.  Too many n00bs would not be able to land, or would not be able to raise the gear, making their craft slow.  Realisism is one thing, but you don't have to be pedantic.  You want realism?  Buy a flight sim.

Speaking of flight sims, if toogle buttons are used, I reckon you should use the traditional flight sim method of "G" for gear and "F" for flaps (S-Foils).

Yes, that's the idea. If I can edit the controls and make a button work as a toggle it will work.

Cool.  Good luck with that.
