So, will there be free rolling and all? I always found the 2142 gunship handling really restricting.

Oh, yeah, I hate that limited roll on the gunships, even an aircraft without wings would be able to do a full roll at top speed, even if only for a short amount of time. The transports however should not be able to roll without crashing. They are all down thrust and no forward thrust.

Afaik, the 2142 gunship is more like a helicopter than an actual plane which would kinda explain it's inability to roll and stuff. But then again, it has no reason to be behaving like a helicopter that much since it doesn't have the rotor blades... Ah well, who cares, there'll be full rolling in FS as the Biggs already said smile

the bf 2142 gunship is both a helicopter and plane. its a hybrid. it has turning and landing/taking off compacity of a helicopter, but the straight flying is a plane.

Re: IRC Exclusives rule relaxed, spare screens in here

Not quite, it has no 'natural' lift from forward motion. Its probably closest to the jet equivalent (even though its impossible) of something odd like an autogyro.
