Lafs found this so I cant get the credit for it (damn!) but this vidoe is well worth a watch.

For anyone who thought the HoloDeck from StarTrek wouldnt be seen in our lifetime, think again.

Now we just need a holoprojector to put the images in the actual environment instead of on a screen.

the closest ive seen for that is made by little jets of smoke coloured by multipoint projectors and that was a couple of years ago we are getting there fast tongue
