Also, a stormtrooper already shot R2D2 and he lived, so we need another way for him to die lol

R2D2 can't die. He already outlived every single character from ep 1,2,3 except Chewy. (As far as I know)

In the expanded universe books, which i think george lucas should start making movie after, r2d2 has beaten chewie, and a couple other characters as well. big_smile
