Re: Troopers?
Um............... the Royal guards were never aremed with conventional Blasters. They mostly had old and way outa date ones that were only for show and nothing else. Plus many of them were tought in the use of some of the Dark Side of the force. They also had combat staffs, and shock weapons. Not realy a good choice for front line troops in the mod, as they were mostly close combat units for the Empires protection of high ranking officals.
Ok, sorry but theres quite a few things wrong with your post.
1. There were the top ranking elite units of the imperial army, and thus were great fighters that spent alot of time in very rigorous training, they could handle any situation.
2. There main and upmost goal was to protect the Empire himself, and he was never without a group of them protecting him. Though they were lent to high ranking officers from time to time.
3. They did know how to use a blaster and were sometimes sent out to battle amoung regular stormtroopers to keep well trained. They were also rarely sent out as a group sporting bright crimson armour.
4. They could thus be elite stormtroopers as I mentioned, they wouldn't be sent out to attack with there melee weapon anyway.
