Topic: Lasers too fast?

Was watching the trailer for the mod and it really looked like the lasers moved to fast compared to the game, but I'm not sure if it was the quality on YouTube or just something else.

Also, will there be full voices for the commands?

I'm not entirely sure what you mean. Do they move to fast incomparision to the movies or in comparison to BF2142? Because BF2142 doesn't have any lasers.

And there will indeed be some nice voice command.

Re: Lasers too fast?

actualy from a gameplay standpoint their a little to slow. if it were up to some of us we'd make em even faster but then you wouldnt realy see the bolts anymore

Re: Lasers too fast?

Trust me this guy is right I mean if they were any faster you would never see them. IE we have a good speed, and langth to them plus they look loads better than they ever did in GC.

Long live the Empire!

Re: Lasers too fast?

imo they are too fast.  They aren't truly lasers at all (you wouldn't be able to see individual bolts if they were true speed-of-light weapons), and in the movies they appear to travel a little slower than they currently do in-game.

I'm guessing there's no way to fix it?

Re: Lasers too fast?

Yeah there is, but the slower they go, the farther you have to lead long range targets, and the harder short range combat becomes.
Conversely the faster they go, the farther they appear from the muzzle, which can look pretty odd. Obviously we try to have the best of both worlds, but its not perfect I'm afraid.
