Topic: will there be widescreen support? PLS

I think it would be awesome to add widescreen support to FS because it's stupid to think of it as a dissadvantage, if you think it is, think about it this way...

We should limit RAM speeds and RAM capacities ingame because it creates dissadvantage...

We should limit certain graphics and resolutions because it creates a dissadvantage...

We should certainly get rid of surround sound because it creates a dissadvantage...

We should limit processing power on CPU's and GPU's because it creates a dissadvantage...

it's just a matter of having the tech and being able to use it nobody would like to have 2gb of ram and running the game not at it's full potential because it only supports 512mb of ram...

How are you going, or did you get it in? it's not even supported by the BF2142 game engine. Or did you break DICE's code and not tell them about it? because if you did thats breaking some major ground and will hurt your relations with DICE/EA for a long time to come.

I must say you guys rock! HELL YEAH! bring it on!!!

it is really dumb not to have widescreen... I'd understand if it was a low profile game, but we're talking about a very high profile game... yay I'll enjoy First Strike twice as much!

Uhm it's in standard, look up the command for the shortcut, it's something like +xys or something.

Are you sure ??

Commands for the shortcut doesnt support widescreen.  Take a look:


4:3   Native support to bf2142     Res:  1024x768

If widescreen support is native in FS, no zoom in vertical axis has to do.
Obviously,  widescreen resolution are disavantage respect 4:3 resolution as you can see.

It's true, there is no REAL widescreen support. The only thing you can do is what was mentioned above, which cuts off the top and bottom of your screen. Dice thought that widescreen would put some people at an advantage by seeing more area than regular monitors do.
