But if theres space outside with people having a full sized star destroyer is a waste of map space and processor with it all. Especially if you get lost.. best to keep it limited to a few key areas.

GC had a map called Judicator which was largely that, the inside of a SD. Greatest flaw about the map is that it soon became a map too big for infantry because one could walk for 10 minutes straight from one end to the other, and everything sort-of looked the same, the imperials have no style decorating.

It's good to make a boarding map with Rebels raiding Imps, but one has to be careful not to make people wander around aimlessly. Give them a goal, make it look interesting, and dont confuse them with the same hallways over and over.

A space battle map involving a single capital ship could make a great idea, especially if it's the Super star destroyer, but that thing is miles and miles long. Think about it, rebel fighters desperately trying to destroy key points to take the ship down while imperials try to fend them of, needless to say, it would make a great dogfight map.

I can only suggest because i have no idea of BF2142's mod limitations.

I would realy like to see cap ship vs cap ship like it was in battlefront 2 only more in depth with the ships having more explorable interiors.

This is just an idea and I don't know how similar maps you are going to do that in bf2142, but... You dont need to make the whole star destroyer sized map if you don't need the space for a reason. Thats just silly. Just enough room to play. It just occured to my mind that there could be several power couplings that rebels need to destroy form star destroyer to escape from there somehow (with ship etc...). I have no idea can it work in practice. But a fight inside star destroyer with reactors (like the one in titan) in order to get out (or something) could work.
