Recently I saw a thread suggesting that everyone get together and play GC one last time. This got my attention so I decided to reinstall BF1942 and GC on my computer. My problem is, that although I have downloaded and installed BF1942 patch 1.61, GC does not recognize this. It comes up with prompt that says something like, "It does not appear that you have BF1942 patch 1.61 installed on your computer" and then gives you the options to abort, retry, or ignore. Whenever this happens I select retry and it installs fine. When I get in the game however, I can't connect to any servers in either vanilla or GC. It loads part of the way and then says "Wrong Version, would you like to update?"

any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
