What if the 'survivors' were always on the island and the plane crash was faked?

What if what we think we are seein in flashbacks isnt a flashback at all ? instead they are being fed fake memories at that very moment to help control their actions?

eg.  Charlie wouldnt have been alive if it werent for Jack .  He wouldnt let it go ,due to his 'past' shaping him to believe he could save everyone.

What the heck is wrong with US tv stations???  Lost only just came back after a break!
Maybe the writers are havin trouble ?  I know they only shoot around 3 episodes in front of whats on tv so they might have asked for the reruns?

Tell me about it eh? There was a five week break throughout Christmas time and then 3 episodes have been played, and now we have another breka. Jeez, it sort of breaks the immersion tongue

So they put a rerun on in the middle of a new series?

They wouldnt get away with that over here in the UK but then we are more demanding as we are forced to paya frikkin £150 tv licence fee!


With the Plane crash Idea being fake, well it is possible, but then so is anything at this stage LOL

How bout this.

The Island is a simulation, a large Illusion and they are all on a great big spaceship! The earth has exploded and they are on their way to a new planet which will take them hundreds of years to arrive to.  To keep them mentally active and to stop them from going into meltdown they are involved in the island (a simulation program) and are forced to exercise there mental demons and their moral codes because they dont want any of them arriving at the planet as super psycho murderers. They are the seed for the new human race.

Saw this thread and couldn't NOT say anything...

I just recently got all caught up on lost, rented the 1st season and watched the 2nd season episodes I missed from a buddy who recorded them.
(he was the one who was like, "oh man the show is awesome you gotta see it)

I'll admit it is pretty damn cool, especially the whole plot of it.  The re-run last night sure was a kick to the gut though.  I was hoping maybe something could happen in it to give me some answers about the Dharma thing or maybe even the ''others.'' roll  Anyway, they better not keep this break stuff up for long, that christmas thing kinda sucked if you ask me.

OK, done ranting on the subject.  I really don't plan on going back and reading the 7 pages of things I missed in this thread though. cool

[BTW, nice forum ranks, people.  If I had my way I'd stay a Trooper forever]

OH and before I forget, I missed that episode where they played the full film video for the hatch.  You know, the one where the asian guy talks about hitting the button.  Anyone know where I can see the full thing, or maybe TELL me what it said?  Thanks either way.

That black smoke monster on Lost was so dissapointing, I thought there'd be something big with teeth. Remember the pilot from season one? His body was all messed up, how could smoke do that?

Yeah the smoke thing WAS disappointing.

I personally thought the smoke thing and the big-ass monster that ate the pilot were two different things.
