Yes, I agree with you completely about bf2. BF1 was enjoyable. The maps were full of glitches that could be used to cheat (I know, I studied with a clan that specialized in them), but overall, the game was fun and fairly well balanced.
When they went to BF2, the space battles were cool, but all other gameplay just seemed to not be fun at all anymore, and the Jedi and lack of any game balance made it all worse.

What I said applies to bf 1, bf2 was just completely lost.

Re: As far from battlefront 2 as possible

we arent comparing battlefield to anything, we're comparing battlefront 1 to battlefront 2.

Um...All though I love Empire at War...I wouldn't exactly call it a legendary game...

Battlefront1 is a pile of incomplete crap and it was so awful that I boycotted Battlefront2. Instead of finishing Battlefront1 they quickly went to work on Battlefront2 and they might as well called up everyone that bought Battlefront1 and said "haha suckers!".

Re: As far from battlefront 2 as possible

Battlefront I & II sucked. Let's face it. Theres no sort of online replayability to it. My friend and I played the maps via LAN and once we were done, there really wasn't much reason to go back... they don't change, the ai is 'fine' but it's not a real challenge. I felt almost guilty with my high kill counts and low death rate - I die like once or twice a map, usually to my own mistake. Not much to go for online either, it's all like deja vu.  The maps were nice looking, but simple. There was no sort of variation in strategy besides capture the control points. The maps were original, you know basic iconic battles we see in every FPS. Nothing new. Nothing worth going back for.

The campaign was a "meh", static maps don't provide for much fun for that kind of stuff. Capture the points should be for skrimishes between players, not campaigns.. that's where I should be doing more specific stuff...

eh.

I think FS can go farther and that's why I'm excited about it.

Re: As far from battlefront 2 as possible

well, bf2 is okay, bf1 was probably a little bit better.
i dont like playing the heroes and i dont like the clonewar periode, people are almost only playing clonewars and i really hate the clonewars but love nothing more than the civil war periode.
and even the galactic conquest mod had more details and goodies than any of the bf parts, just the vehicle control in gc kinda sucked.
