Re: As far from battlefront 2 as possible
The first Battlefront was a good but flawed game, unfinished to say the least, but fun to play, especially if you had like-minded people to play it with. But the presures of releasing it in conjunction with other Star Wars products resulted in a game rushed out and unfinshed as stated earlier. It banked too much on the fact it was Star Wars and would sell shedloads whether the game was good or not. They patched away at it endlessly, but I don't think it ever truly reached it's full potential, and was always a buggy game.
And then of course they dropped it like a hot potato to release Battlefront 2, which I didn't play for the longest time, and when I did get round to it, I was bored with it almost instantly, such a disapointing game with new features that were done poorly, namely the new space maps, and even the old features weren't done as well as in the original game, and they left out some of the things that made the original so great. What the hell happened to Bespin Cloud City? Possibly everyone's favorite map from the original game?
My hope is that First Strike will be everything that the Star Wars Battlefront games should have been. And from what I've seen so far once it's released to the public it will do that and then some.
