So you avoid all the clipping problems by having them repulse off each other? Sounds like a good way of handling it.

I remember when i played the beta or demo and "drove" the our titan into the enemys, pushing all of them off of the launch pad with the shield. I think we could even shoot them as they spawned.

Take two objects, (say 2 water bottles) move them towards each other at a normal speed until they hit and kinda bounce off each other, thats pretty much exactly what happens. Except they also take damage on impact.
