just quickly i know that uve fixed this, but if anyone ever gets this problem again you dont need to uninstall your game, just follow these instructions and it'l sort out the map not loading up problem.

1) Go to your BF2142 folder, mine is C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\Battlefield 2142

2) Locate the file "radial.cdb"

If you do not see this file in the folder then you need to go to folder options tell Windows to show hidden files. You also (or instead) have to uncheck the box just a little bit below it, which is "Hide protected operating system files".
(For some reason this is a protected file and will not show if you ask to show normal hidden files.)

3) Rename the file to oldradial.cdb (or something similar so you know what it is) and start your game.

The game will create a new radial.cbd file on it's own.

This does work and should only take less than 5 min to fix on your own.

I hade problems loading maps and the game freezing. Cleaning out the files in c:\documents and settings.. your username in windows\bf2142 directory, delete it. That removes all ur settings but it usually does the trick, got that answere when I emailed the bf2142 support. And I do advice you to email them yourself or phone them since they actually do have a phonenumber for support. Good game but the bugs... very annoying sometimes.
