IRC is actually a protocol, and there are many different clients, including mIRC.

Hi guys forgive me for not saying elo sooner. I have been watching this mod for what seems an eternity and like so many others I'm counting the hours to sunday.

As for the peeps that have put so much effort into the development what can i say "you guys are all heros" the gaming communtiy would be a much sadder place if it wasn't for guys like you Thanks just doesn't say enough.

Hi all,

Glory be to FirstStrike!! I am so happy to see a mod come along to take the place of a mod that I miss very much... GC. I have played BF1942 and BF2 ever sine they came out. I hope you guys aren't insulted, but my favorite mod is Forgotten Hope, and I have played it for thousands of hours and I do look forward to FH2. But make no mistake, I sure did play a LOT of GC 0.42 back in the day and enjoyed it immensely and have missed it just as much. It was certainly a close second to my favorite mod, FH.

GC 0.42 had the best Land Speeder code for the no mounted gun model btw, tongue. It required some skill with regard to actually having to use the throttle when going over bumpy terrain(/slowing down/scrubbing some speed off), and handled tight, like a sports car speeder should. It got nerfed in later versions.

Anyway, I just wanted to come in and introduce myself. I'm about to download the mod now and try it out. I have not played any BF2142 though and so I'm sure I will be quite a noob at first! Hopefully I can get some guys help me get familiarized with everything on Voip.

Thank you to the Devs for making a badly needed replacement for the now defunct and sorely missed GC smile. I look forward to seeing you guys on the Battlefield!
