Re: Dev Diary #18 Talon

Thanks guys, and yes I am a geek, and proud of it.

And as nice as the weapon models are they are nothing when compared to what they're like after JayBiggS has been let loose on them, his textures really bring those models to life and then some (Which I tried to show by comparing the textured and untextured models side by side). I get all excited when he starts texturing one of my models and I can't wait to see the end result as it never disappoints.

Hope you enjoy busting some heads with those puppies this weekend.

Re: Dev Diary #18 Talon

Fantastic work, Talon! I think you and I would get along reeeeaaaal well if we lived in close proximity. lol big_smile Star Wars geeks ftw. wink

Incredible attention to detail and a very close knit between gameplay and Star Wars lore accuracy were the top two things that stuck out when I first discovered this mod, as well. Truly impressive. *huge grin forms on face* And now it's almost here! *giggles like a school girl* tongue

Unfortunately, lore accuracy is also something LA and Pendemic horrendously butchered in the Battlefront series. But then again LA seems to have a habit of doing that to one degree or another in every Star Wars game. And considering LA is a division of LFL, I can't believe neither of them keep a tight rein on the lore accuracy of their games. roll

The Y-Wing's cockpit looks amazing. I can't wait to strap myself in one of those bad boys and take it to the Empire. lol I'm curious though, I haven't seen anything on the S3 model yet. Is it still being implemented? big_smile

Oh, one other thing. The overhead dashboard at the fore section of the canopy is missing. I'll have to double check my sources, but I'm certain there's an array of buttons, switches and knobs on the top of the canopy.

Artificial intelligence is no match for natural stupidity.

Might have been removed to not obstruct the pilot's vision.

Re: Dev Diary #18 Talon

Hmmm, well Mechag2, all our ref from the movies points to the cockpit having no overhead devices that we can see in the standard cockpit view, maybe there are consoles up there further back. I know the old X-Wing game gave the Y-Wing overhead consoles, but we didn't consider that reference material to be wholely accurate. Show us the reference and if it's sound enough we may amend in a future build.

Heh, I thought that image would put a smile on your face, I know from your previous posts you're a bit of a Y-Wing fan.

lol Definately and thanks. big_smile wink I'll double check and try and upload a pic straight from the films if I've recalled this correctly.

Again, stellar work... as always. Also, the DH-17 and DL-44 models are the awesomeness-ism-ization-ality!

Re: Dev Diary #18 Talon

Re: Dev Diary #18 Talon

Use something like Photobucket or Imageshack to host them and then post the link here.
