Topic: Starfighters... Control like helicopters

Hai.

I noticed the starfighters control like helicopters (Mouse can't be used to turn the craft). Now, this is a small, niggly thing... But is there any way to fix it? It's kind of annoying having to use A and D to turn.

The mouse can be used to turn, but it just rolls it a bit.  Frankly, I'd just set your rudder keys to a much higher sensitivity in the control options.

I've been flying planes like that since Battlefield 1942's fighters.

It's best to use a combination of banking and the rudders when turning.

this is all controlled in your settings. just change them ingame

I personally thought it works perfect. For a WASD + mouse (and when needed: arrow keys) combination it seems to work as intended. Smooth and easy controlling. You could get yourself a joystick if you wanted. smile

for some reason, the fighters tend to pitch down once in a while and I cant control it well with my joystick...any way to fix? smile

The choppers of Project Reality do that too. All of a sudden they turn to the left and you have to correct their heading. Might be intended, might be a bug.
