First Strike Mod First Test: Some space action showing various fighters and cap ships, followed by stormies messing about on Tatooine.

It never seizes to amaze me how beautiful that X-Wing is.

Nice video!

One thing though, YouTube quality is bit bad for good gameplay videos, i suggest using some other place for hosting videos. Not sure if GameTrailers.com accepts mod stuff or anything, but they have very nice quality and option to download the video to your harddrive.

That video alone just begs me to buy BF2142 just for this mod, its been long time since i last played any good Star Wars game/mod. Must - have...

Anyways, found another one: Here. That's one awesome X-Wing cockpit. And some great explosions (2:30). The guy needs to remember not to fly straight and level, though, he's making himself one easy target.

Photobucket.com will let you host unlimited 100MB size video files up to 5 min's in length for free and the quality is better than Youtube.

Edit: Just so you know, if you watch this video, when it shows the DS shot, where it is going somewhat diagonally, thats a comparison shot, the bottom is the game, the top is the movie.

Oh, so it wasn't in a news post. That's how I missed it, then smile.  I just seemed to remember something about First Strike being featured at GIGA and assumed I'd just missed the video. But of course that was a different vid, the one showing the lenghty trailer with Tatooine and Escape from Hoth.
