Topic: almost no co-op. how about this...

Many vanilla 2142 maps are quite SW like why not just replace the armies and vehicles on those maps and it'll give us A) more maps and B) Maps with bot support. I think I'll experiment with editing the maps from the 2142 singleplayer mod to work with first strike.

Bots will not be able to use FS vehicles and if you try to be smart and do add them the game will crash.

Just tested and you're right. Figured it would be worth a try. Maps like Tunis Harbor and several others scream Star Wars without all the effort. Port Bavaria it it didn't have the trees would be perfect for a rear assault on the Rebel's Hot base.

I allready have a FS mini_mod using the enhanced BF2142 AI maps from the 2142SP mod.

I also have the Encouter map working with bot support and Mos Espa almost working.

I have set up a section for First Strike SP development at the Battlefield Single player website.  You can get the download link to the mini-mod   You can follow the development and help out if you want.  Go here:  http://battlefieldsingleplayer.planetba … owforum=77

The Northern Strike maps are not converted.
