Topic: Geforce 8800 GTS and Vista Drivers Problems!

I have downloaded the latest from Nvidia (163.44 Forceware Vista 32bit). THis does NOT work with First Strike. The driver before ie- (162.22 Forceware Vista 32bit) does work. So if you get so far loading and then it takes you back to the desktop it maybe your graphics driver thats at fault.

Try the newest Beta driver and report back please. It's 163.71 I'm using it and it works well with an 8800GTX.

i understand that you stiky this thred (glitchs, driver issues, etc) if you have them then all i can say is sorry  ... but on the otherside i dont , simply because vista is NOT a recomended OS in which it to install the game on, BF2142 is a winXP game (or below  ME,98), if your having problems with it ... try EA .. you could be waiting 3+ months for drivers in vista  to work properly in XP games ..

well im having no probs wotsoever with vista. and as far as im aware ive downloaded the latest drivers as i installed vista and had to do all drivers and games etc yesturday. so as far as im concerend vista works fine with this

cool im glad the game is working perfectly ( hope perfectly ) for you in vista .. maybe "Kenward" has an other driver issue .. sound drivers / mobo driverrs perhaps .. everyones system is different ..

true. but im just saying, dont be put off using vista cos it does work on it. thats wat im trying to say. uninstall your nvida drivers, then reinstall the latest using nvidia driver search thing
