Re: Reloading

No reloading is absolutely fine, in that case its just the (0) next to the ammo meter that bothers me. Maybe there is a way to remove it? Nothing too big, just saying... one of those little things! smile Overall great mod!

Thanks TY2D2.

Also need to make sure that is in the Manual.

Now that you mention it, I seem to have forgotten the capital ships in the manual tongue

Re: Reloading

While I think reloading is a non-essential feature I do think it is a valid point, and i does add to the emmersion into the game.

Realizing that the Devs aren't basing "laws" of the Star Wars universe off of other SW games, I would like to mention SW: Republic Commando. Anyone else played that? It's the most underrated SW game IMO and has the most realistic FPS style combat of them all as well.

In SWRC the commando's use blaster rifles andpistols amongst various grenades and rocket launchers. The blasters use clips and they do have reload animations which both looks and sounds really cool. The pistols, however, do not require reload. There is simply an energy meter on them and when the meter reaches max the user must wait until it drops below max to continue firing ... it basically works how overheating works with guns in 2142.

Just thought I'd add that observation to the pool. Great job so far on FS, too!

Re: Reloading

In the movies they don't reload, and I know why

"Lasers flying everywhere people dying screaming explosions. Then out of nowhere, SH** I need to reload! Oh Cr** our men were just killed because they were reloading their awesome laser firing machines of death!"

It doesn't sound and look cool in a movie, but ifyou read the books and know the lore of Star Wars, almost every weapon does use ammunition, hell here's somthing on the crossbow

"The traditional Wookie bowcaster uses a magnetic accelerator to fire explosive quarrels, which are enveloped in a penetrating energy shell as they are fired. The Bowcaster has a range of 50 meters and requires immense strength to chicken."
See? It actually uses a slightly better version of a good old fashioned bullet.
Regardless, I'm pretty sure this argument is about the blasters right?
Jango Fetts blasters have infinite energy (this is a fact) but a typical blaster doesn't.
"The E-11 BlasTech Standard Imperial Sidearm combines excellent range with lethal firepower in a compact and rugged design. A standard POWER CELL CARRIES ENOUGH ENERGY FOR 100 SHOTS. PLASMA GAS CARTRIDGES LAST FOR OVER 500 SHOTS and the unit features an advanced cooling system fo superior fire-delivery performance. A folding three-position stock converts the weapon to a rifle configuration for sustained long-distance firing."

I rest my case. smile

I may lead a double life full of secrets and deception, but that's no reason to be suspicious.

"Dolph tie up the brat. Lesa hold the book. Vincent get the truck. And Kieth... Darn it change your name. Please. That's no scary, and I'm embarrassed to say it. -Boris. Try That.
Keith. you know? Oh, watch out for Kieth."
