You can delete the files in the profiles folder without removing Your soldier. Start/My Documents/Battlefield 2142/Profiles/(files inside) Then You have to reset all the settings.

But first You could try deleting the files in the cache folder.
Start/My Documents/Battlefield 2142/mods/bf2142/cache/(files inside) I delete these and let the shaders reload at least once a month. There are also First Strike cache files You can delete in the mods folder.

And note that doing what Darth said isn't going to delete your soldier!

well, i deleted the files you told me, and now everything works great, except whenever i launch the game, it says profile not found.  Nothing happens, but its annoying, anyway to get rid of it?

I had the same problem shinji , I deleted cache files, reinstalled mouse driver , and reset my default settings , and along the way that fixed  it.
