Topic: Mod won't jooin a server

The server will load up and when I click deploy it goes back to the server list screen and tells me that I cannot join the server because it does not recognize modded content and to please revert to my unmodded BF2142 to join the server.  Any one have any ideas on whats going on??????

your either trying to use some cheating programm or you need to update your Punkbuster manualy. look in the FAQ on the forum to find out how

No cheating program installed, updated PB manualy, didn't work, uninstalled 2142, reinstalled it, patched to 1.25, installed first strike, still the same problem!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

what error are you getting?
did you check if the directory it was installing to was the correct one.
how many servers have you tried.
are you sure these where running FS maps.
are you sure your firewall isnt blocking anything (like PB)
does vanilla 2142 still work or give the same error?
dumb questions maybe, but i need to get a better idea of your situation

Basically the error says this:  The Server You are tring to jion does not allow modified contet, please revert back to your unmodded 2142 to jion the server.  May not be exactly what it is saying but pretty close.

Tried many servers, same result.

Servers are running FS maps.

Firewall is not blocking anything.

Vanilla 2142 gave me the same error, before the reinstall, havn't tried yet after the reinstall but going to in a sec. If it still doesn't work I will uninstall FS and try it.

No question is dumb, along as it has an answer.

Ok, tried vanilla 2142, no luck still would not jion server.  Uninstlled FS, same thing.   Here is the exact message I am getting.

   "This Server anly allows players with unmodified content to join.  Revert your version of Battlefield 2142 the the current official version to join."

My game is not modded in any way, what is the deal with this??????

I'm getting the exact message.  I was playing all the maps perfectly before the hotfix patch.  I just installed the patch, and now I get this message.  I have Northern Strike too.
