I've started getting that error also since the 1.1 patch.
Bf2142 1.25
No other mods
Punkbuster updated
No cheating programs etc.
I could join servers with FS1.0.

Edit:  I R a Noob.  It only happens when joining servers that don't specify 1.1 - i.e. those that haven't updated yet.  Gamearena #9 is one of those yet to update sad.
Clarification: The error is "you need to revert to the latest official patch", and the problem is that the servers have not all updated to FS1.1.  If you get the error, try joining a few different servers, especially those which say 1.1 in their name.

Yes, I am getting the exact same message. Same scenario here. I tryed to update PB manually as I always do but there are no updates for 2142 pb, and first strike .exe is non existent. Im no pc guru but I just made a shortcut in the previous version. Btw the game rox, excellent work to the first strike team. I thank the lord there are people this skilled.

Same here guys and I also got a blue screen of death when I tried to exit FS.

Just tried again on a server that stated 1.1 version and everything was fine and 2142 seems to be ok too .Seems the servers are not updated yet and there in lies the problem roll

Dunno why I blue screened the first time but it hasnt happened again in 4 attempts.

Thanks for all your hard work guys , cant wait for the servers to update now so I can get one with a decent ping to try out the fixes.

i guess  the most server have no change into the version 1.1
the server with name BOC Squads... and so on, works

Just to let all of you know I am getting this before the patch (didn't know till now the patch was out).  Also I am getting this without using the mod (vanilla 2142).

Install battlefield 2142, install path 1.25, install first strike, install patch 1.1 and search servers already running on 1.1, cause if u try to connect to servers still running 1.0, u get those error of modified content

I tried that even before the patch came out, didn't work.  Repaatch vanilla 2142 with 1.25, vanilla 2142 still got the same error, currently reinstalling FS and going to patch to see what happens.


No go, didn't work.
