Definitely can't get it to work past installing patch 27 of 38. Tried all the things suggested such as restarting after clean install, no other programs running etc. So it seems an issue with XP Pro X64?

What is it doing during the install of patch 27 ? Should be easy to identify the issue surely ?

For those with patch problems I will also see about getting a new client installer out.  That'll hopefully alleave some of the troubles if you cant get the patch working at all

Copying the files from another pc should work for you Damit. As long as the install/patch worked ok for that pc of course.
