tell you what even with patch 1.1 my
windows xp 32 bit
8800gts 320mb
2 gigs of ram
E6750 core 2 duo 2.66ghz

awesome setup, I freeze on endor, running at max settings. bf2142 runs flawlessly

what driver version for you vid card are you using?
and in what way do you freeze? same spot or just random?

Same problem here, can´t start LAN, wen i click start server get crash to desktop.

AMD X2 4600+

2G DDR

7900GTX SLI

XFI sound card

I install 1.0 and update to 1.1 later

im on XP 32 and 163.71 nvidia driver

i set my sound in game from my XFI to software and now i can start LAN, crash is not appears.

Same here,i get the occasional freeze(total lockup) now and again and i have a very similar setup except im running Vista with 163.69 Nvid drivers.

i had the same problem just the other day. problem seemed to ahve something to do with the BF engine itself (bf2 and its mods, 2142 and FS all seems to freeze up at random times.
i went to
http://www.nvidia.co.uk/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-uk
and got the latest drivers. and since then i havent frozen onces.

How to install:
first download the latest, then uninstall you old driver.
restart you pc
on the found new hardware click close.
run the .exe of the latest drivers.
reboot
