HEY GUYS IN THE TIE BOMBERS, USE YOUR TORPEDOES! I just played a round with maybe one other person on my team using torps. It kind of defeats the purpose of piloting a big slow bomber if you're just going to plink the transports with your little laser.

A tip for those times you find yourself alone in a capital ship sad :
With a bit of clever manoeuvring you can bring both the F1 and F2 turret to bear on a target.
Then it is just a matter of timing to fire one gun while the other is recharging, thus doubling your firepower.

And a question:
Does the Y-wing ION cannon actually do anything? I have fired it at both fighters and capital ships without any visible effect.
Is there any situations where it is preferable to the laser?

It gives gunner positions and the driver the EMP effect: can't move, but can shoot, clouded vision.

I've been playing around on different servers, and its great to see the rebels coordinating the transports a bit better. One game i had 2 transports making the run for it with the lancer chasing them (It had rushed over to our spawn and noticed our transports had snuck round) Behind the Lancer we had the corvette making chase trying to take out the lancer.

The best tips i can give players: Man Ywings with a gunner, and keep those close to the gallofrees. Make sure the pilot ignores the tie fighters and concentrate on the bombers, while the gunner concentrates on blowing up tie fighters.

Man the gallofree and corvettes with as many gunners as possible and then use the rest to go in xwings/ywings.

Been impressed with your teamwork though lads, its a blast when you get some good fights going smile
