Topic: Server Won't load past 40% since 1.1 patch

Patch installed fine, but i can't seem to load into a game past about 40%

help sad

Yes i could play 1.0 fine , had to turn stuff to med. becuse it would not load on high(stop at 40%) all vid settings still on med. and now have same prob.

MoBo: ASUS Crosshair

try to empty the cache so the shaders can be rebuild

it worked on low .. ill give that a try and bump the vid settings back up

What system do u play on?

and if higher than low fails, empty the cache

My Documents -> bf2142 -> mods -> FirstStrike -> cache

you know the problem with people having it freeze on the loading screen usually has to do with teh cache or the radial.cbd file

I have no clue what it does but if you rename it like oradial.cbd it will make a new one and someone help with map loading.

to do this, you must go to your bf2142 folder on your harddrive. Please make sure that you can see the hidden folders and files. to do that you have to go to tools>folder options>view>then uncheck the "hide hidden files" or whatever it is.. then you should be able to see it after that if you had problems. but yeah just rename it oldradial or anything else you want.

this happened to me once, so i went over to the ea forums and browsed for ever and found this. it worked for me, so i hope it helps you smile
