Topic: Lucas Arts

I was reading today that there is the possibility of a SW battlefront 3. SO it struck me odd, if this is the case, that they let FS go ahead. I mean lets face it: a brilliant game with a brilliant game engine is going to make FS far superior to anything Lucas Arts can throw at us.  Howl will they expect to compete . My biggest concern is this though: If they are making a Bfront3 then is there the possibility of shutting this mod down? I hope not cos this mod has absolutely amazed me.

Re: Lucas Arts

Why would they break their agreement and terms and shutting the mod down just because they would make SWBF3? They didnt do that to GC, why would they do that to FS?

Re: Lucas Arts

Why? because FS is a hell of a lot better than STBF3 will ever be. And the devs at Lucas Arts will know it.

Re: Lucas Arts

I think in may ways it will be toward a different audiance.   Plus, the "hero" charactures that Lucas can use in their game will push different play.

Re: Lucas Arts

The heroes are a minor detail. True, people may prefer it with heroes, but the game will be aimed at the same audience. The Star Wars FPS fans group is already pretty concise narrowed down, The game will appear to the same audiences. The other thing working in FS's favour is the cost. People will have to fork out £30 for SWBF3 but can download FS, the better game, for free

Re: Lucas Arts

This is true, but many people who have SWBF1 or 2 are FPS fans, so many of them will also have BF2142
