cleared the cache in my bf2142 folder but didn't see one for firststrike anywhere, tried to join a server still got the same message.

Just what did the 1.1 update do?

Below is a changelog of what will be included in Version 1.1

Hi,

Ok, so if it wasn't the 1.1 update then what has changed? I can run normal BF2142 great, no problem. I can login to FS fine, see buddies etc...

I installed this onto a new high spec laptop and all works (except still only see black silhouettes where there should be destroyers in Hoth).

Has BF2142 still got to be v1.25? Or will FS now need the 1.4 patch on BF2142 to enable it to work?

Still get the same message:

"This map contains customised content. The map creator might have more information about the map on the community site."

What triggers this message, whats is stopping me get on a server???

you sure the server is updated to 1.1 aswell?
patch need to ne 1.25 and fs version 1.1
how did you install? with v1 and the the hotfix 1.1 or the full 1.1 torrent download?
if you go into 2142 and there the community menu. you should be able to the installed mods there (yes 2142 is a mod aswell according to that), do you see FS listed there?
if not, the FS didnt install in the right place

I know in my community menu I can see bf2142 and FS.

Hi,

Thanks for the replies, but yes I can see the mods in the community inc FS Version (Build 4)?

The 1.1 hotfix update was installed after the first version 1, the servers I try to jump on are also 1.1's

Going to have to try and remove FS, but I guess this means taking of BF2142 too, then a complete re-install from scratch. sad

See how that goes... will then try the whole new FS file incl the hotfix in one go.

Unless anyone has any better ideas???

(Don't mention using the force either... tried and failed as my thoughts must have betrayed me.)
