On a head to head battle with them flying at each other, the B-Wing will absolutely destroy the TIE, and I've blown up 5 or 6 TIEs before dying in my B-wing as well. It's really pretty good for dogfighting.

Re: Y wing balance issues

This is why you approach Y wings from below or when they are focusing on someone else. Three seconds contiuous fire on an engine and the Y wing is toast.

I can't wait to see these formations though, I'm really looking foreward to what the clans can do with em.

But maybe, if you so desire, you could lower the health by a tid bit... It'd make my job a hellalot easier smile

Re: Y wing balance issues

B-Wings have 4 or 5 powerful lasers. If you can get a good shot, any TIE will be down in a second.
B-Wings was probably the most powerfull rebel fighter. It has quite a few lasers as I mentioned, stronger armour/shielding, bombing capabilities, its a thin, moving target. The only problem is that its very slow compared to the TIES. But the B-Wing has to be my favorite starfighter.

Awww come on man, from your post history I thought you were an expert pilot?  What kind of pilot stays in a head-on engagement playing chicken?

You crazy fatherless child, we'll duel on Tuesday when I get my internet access hooked up at home big_smile

When half the shots bounce off my armor and I have a giant spread of lasers, chicken starts sounding more and more appealing than trying to play the circling game in a spinny flying boat. smile

And any good TIE pilot knows this. I don't go head to head, get under or above a Y smile
