Topic: Help for getting this running

I am very ilerterate when it comes to installing mods and to getting them working. I think I installed the mod but I'm not getting any servers and when I try to play single player mode the only map I get is Mos espa. Then when I try to load in that the game crashes back to desktop. So any help would be appreciated( And please...place it in layman's terms)

Haha, don't worry, those problems are easily solved...

1. There is no Singleplayer mode in FirstStrike.
That feature is still being developed, so it wasn't included in the mod release. Trying to start it will always crash the game.

2. Look for Multiplayer servers like this....
Go to Multiplayer.
Go to the Advanced tab.
Uncheck all the server filters at the bottom, EXCEPT for "Same Mod". Then click Update List.

You should start seeing many FirstStrike servers once that's done.

Ahhh ok, thanks, oh and last question...where can I get the latest patch for BF2142? Been forever since i've played it and I can't seem to get on other servers without it.

Not surprising, the new patch fixed a lot of old problems and just about every server requires it, you should definitely get it...
