Topic: Suggestions for space battle

I've noticed that most of the space maps there is excessive colliding or both parties just spin about each other until someone else comes in and helps out.

My suggestion is to try to vary the ships more so that they have strength weaknesses

X-Wing: tighter turns but loses speed when doing so
Tie-Fighter: wider turns but with nearly no loss in speed
Tie-bomber: loses some speed when turning
A-wing: increase overall speed and limit turning to very wide turns.

By varying the speeds and turning more, I think the space battles will improve.  Everyone will have to use thier strengths and try to exploit other's weakness.  Some ships should be able to fly off and leave the other in (space)dust and then come back for another attack.


Another suggestion is to make the missles do a bit more damage to the larger ships and force people to stay behind and defend them.

Having every larger ship be able to rearm/repair (and at a much faster rate) would be nice as well.    A  3d RADAR (minimap) or some other way to put yourself level to the minimap would be nice... but not necessary.



Keep up the good work.  I'm having fun with this and I don't want to come off as overly critical.  It's your mod and not mine.

I'd like to suggest a Convoy Raid map in which the Rebels must stop an Imperial Convoy from reaching Endor (the Imps are carrying materials to construct the DeathStar 2) Once the Imperial Convoy reaches Endor the shield generator protects them over Endor.

and lets not forget to fix the teamkill when some noob ally crashes into your capital ship (and then punishes you...)

i agree on the collision stuff.  Even 2 friendly fighters is 75% chance accidental, and even when it's not, the person that ends up with the TK was probably not the one blindsided the other.

I have been killed alot in first strike by my own team. One thing is one of the mines kills anybody when you lay it down and not just the other team.

That's actually a serverside setting (the same one as in stock 2142 for the APMs I believe)
