Re: dev vs. public

Ah man that was a good set of games today.  Intense doesn't begin to describe it.  We devs (assisted by the testing team and a couple oddball public to even the sides) still hold supreme I think, but only barely.  We won slightly more games than we lost though usually it was 1 rebel 1 imperial per map.  But by this time next week however I'm sure everyone will be up at our sneaky fatherless child skill level (if you aren't all already) and will be taking us down.

Final tallies for the day:

Endor:  imps 2;  rebels 0
Taloraan:  imps 1;  rebels 1
Entha:  imps 1;  rebels 1
Hoth:  imps 2 (barely);  rebels 0
Mos espa:  imps 1;  rebels 1

We got worked the first taloraan game, to be sure.  But the second game we got our fleet in order and using the bulk freighter along with a good bit of experience we were able to hit back and knock out the rebel fleet.  Endor as well though we used a lot of our knowledge to win the game.  The lower woods are harder for the rebels to take than the bunker so we made sure to hold onto that.  And dispite the fierce assaults we went through we were able to hold on down there.

The second game of Hoth was extremely close to either a win or a draw.  The gallofrees got within metres of the warpout point every time (indeed, one accidentally overshot and went past it) and we were scrambling to take you guys down.

We also thought we'd have you on that last game of Mos Espa but dispite all odds the rebels were able to push us back out of the centre and slave quarters, causing us to bleed out with only 10 rebel tickets left at game's end.

All in all I have to say I had some of the funnest time today managing squad 2 on the imperial side.  I've never seen so many red dots before on my squadleader ping as I did today, and the blaster fights were amazing.  I do feel sorry though for all those that found their way into the sights of my eweb setups big_smile
