Re: Episodes 1-3

i dont think that 1-3 was really that horrible, i think the reason people dont like it as much is because star wars was so amazing for its time with the special effects not to mention the story, while the new ones were less suprising and there is that whole "oh its not a classic/its older but still better" cliche

I love all of the movies, the story was all written the same time from Episode I till Episode IX (yes u read correct IX)

So Georges told the technology was not ready yet for Episode I till III, so he started with Episode IV till VI ( so the story was overthere already, so the only changes made are the scripts)

Or so Lucas says......
Which of course explains why very fundamental things like Midi-chlorian (cursed be the name) first appears in the new trilogy.

And isn't the first movie supposedly based heavily on "The Hidden Fortress" anyway?

I do not believe Lucas tales of grand plans spanning triple trilogies, they don't show in the movies

There wont be any more SW movies.

I even heard him saying this, cause there is nothin written about Cannes on those page, but just watched it, cause it was about Star Wars (geek or not? wink)

I liked all the episodes, to tell you the truth. Loved them all.

I especially love clone armor. Also, Star Wars is influenced heavily by Seven Samurai and Flash Gordon. Or so Lucas said..no idea.

Anyways. It'd be cool to see them complete a version for that, as taken' down some serious droid would be amazing.

Actually, Ep IV always made me think of the Lord of the Rings.

Luke (Frodo) carries a great power that can turn him evil if he uses it (can also be used for good unlike the One Ring). He meets Obi-Wan (Gandalf) who tells him all about his destiny and his great power and asks for his help. Luke leaves his peaceful home (the Shire), with his little friends R2 and 3PO (Sam, Merry, Pip) to engage in the great war happening all around him. He meets the rogue Han (Aragorn) in a bar, etc.

And the way the battles play out over the 3 movies are similar too. Not just the ebb and flow but also the way the last battle plays out, with Luke in the heart of darkness (the DS2) with the rest of the "Fellowship" fighting other battles.

Not a perfect 1:1 analogy, but I can't deny the similarities.
