Re: Dead? hamsters I hope not...

I think maps is the issue. 5 maps is not quite enough for a mod that has been in development as long as this one has. I do realise and understand the effort the team has made with the game engine, but perhaps it would be wise to officially back a "community map pack" the way the Movie Battles 2 team for JKA did? They rounded up a few good community maps and let it out as an official release.

I just think there is a definite lack of low-ping servers for North American players.  I'd love to hop onto a lot of 40-player matches, but my ping tops up at about 120-180ms.  In space, that's unbearable.

Agreed. I am down in Southern California and I rarely find a populated server where my ping is lower than 100. There seem to be a ton of servers, but few of them are populated. Hopefully more maps and some publicity will draw more players.

Yeah, I love this mod.  I've been watching this mod too since bf1942.  I liked it then too.  I hope the servers fill up.  I'm "AllFiredUp" in the game.  See ya on the flip side.

Now that's what I'd like to see in a game!

think one of the Dev's said before If i remember that Engine can't handle something that big moving.  But ya 5 maps aint enough, to much lag for good space battle... i mean nearly impossible to hit people unless you right behind them unless your on y wing turret otherwise your screwed.
