Topic: Stuck at 'Deploy'

I'm pretty sure I loaded this correctly. 2142, patch 1.25, First Strike 1, patch 1.1. Everything is fine until I hit 'Deploy' then..........nothing. It just sits there. I was really looking forward to this mod too. Especially considering how long it took to download. The first time I loaded the mod I got nothing at all. It still looked like 2142 and I kept getting sent to the log on screen. Then I uninstalled First Strike, reinstalled it and got a little further (farther? I keep forgetting). Any help would be great (even grammatical help)

Don't do singleplayer.

I was trying to do Mutiplayer. I picked a map at the main map screen many different times and it kept freezing after I clicked 'Deploy'. I've never tried single player. In fact I've actually read through quite a few of your forums and I found that the singleplayer doesn't work yet. I spent a while reading through the posts and couldn't find a similar situation. I'm going to try uninstalling/ reinstalling one more time, just in case.

have you tried clearing your cache? i dont know if its a map loading problem but that might help.

on single player-- i hit DEPLOY, i get sent to my desktop..  Multiplayer works fine for me though

I just un/re installed the mod. I had to re-install the 2142 1.25 patch too. After re-installing FS when I clicked on the icon for the game, it took me to the 2142 main logon screen. It went to the FS logon screen after I installed the 2142 1.25 patch but it still freezes at the 'Deploy' button. Everything seems to load fine until I hit deploy. Then the music fades and then nothing. Task manager says cpu 0%. Kinda weird.
