Topic: It just crashes to desktop

So i did look through the forums for anything that might help.  I have a geforce 6800 video card with 1 gig of ram, and windows xp operating system.   The game just crashes everytime i go to hit the join game button before the patch i had it working fine and i could play with no problem. I have all settings set to the default setting.  Pretty much everytime i load the game it always has to load the optimizing shader bar after it loads a map.  I did uninstall it and was gonna reload the game with the patch, but i haven't had time yet to reinstall it.

clear the cache of ur first strike, My Documents - Battlefield 2142 - mods - First Strike - cache

and try again

No singleplayer?? but a map is listed i see??

but it doesnt support singleplayer! go, check the forums, there is a thread about a minimod which includes BOTS!!!
