Topic: Noob Map Attempt, open to suggestions and ideas

Map Name: Massacre At Sulon
Planet: Sulon, A Moon of Sullust
Ground/Space: Ground
Weather/Lighting: Night or Sunset/Eclipse
Layout Diagram: TBA



Map description: The Rebellion is growing at an alarming rate. This must be quelled! The Empire has discovered a large concentration of Rebels housed on the Sullust moon Solon and the Imperial Star Destroyer Vengeance has been orderd there. Our mission is to infiltrate the rebel sympathizer's town and erradicate all opposition. Remember, the rebels may dress like civilians so don't take chances.

Gameplay Description:
-WiP~An infantry based map within a moody urban setting. (yeah not original I know)
-Toying with the ability to offer the Stormies Rebel outfits/insignias as that was a major facet of the battle according to lore.
-Semi-Objective mode???
Imps: Locate and kill all civilians/housing (animated statics)
Rebels: Defend Civilians

Vehicles: Static Star Destroyer (either the real model from EfH or a scaled model to make it look really far away), AT-PTs (once available), Land Speeders, and Speeder Bikes, possible blaster turrets.

Extra notes: For future releases when/if available- orbital strike option for Imperials, perhaps an orbital landing feature (I hear its possible but would cause alot of headaches so this is whether or not I can figure it out [I'm leaning to a no]), screams/civilian bodies, destrucable buildings/objects.

hey that looks like it could turn out pretty good. How do you plan to do the civilians though?

Not a clue ^_^, I was thinking about getting a hold of a static like object that would look like a family holding each other and cowering. Give them an animation that would loop and then treat them like a destructable object. One or two blaster shots would kill them and they would animate 'die' and then vanish like we do when we die.

EDIT: I'm sorry but I'm gonna have to use Tat buildings for now... hopes you don't mind for the recycling.

Notes:
-Governer's Villa is intended to be the Rebels last fortification, thus it wont be made easy access to, especially from the Space Port side.
-This is going to be a larger map... planing on 5 flags. 2 Rebel and 3 Imperial from get go, but more freedom than Encounter at ME.
-Circular based map, Governers Villa in middle.

This is the REBEL space port (yes they took it over after the first fight with the Imps), I plan to place some dead stormies bodies around here but I dont know how to... help?

Yeah, originally it was just Sulon but the wookipedia had a city description so I took it smile

One thing I noticed right away, your building is tilted on that slope, I would suggest straightening out the terrain beneath it. Tilted buildings do not look right unless they are half buried by a crater or something.

Lance can tell me where you get the shuttle from? I got every think except a shuttle like that one in editor and I want to add it to my evil collection for my evil plans smile. + how do you get screen shots of editor maps neutral.
