Topic: crash to desktop and no servers

Hi,

I am running bf2142 1.25 with FS1.1.

I tried installing the minimod for SP games but it still crashes me to desktop no matter what I try.

I then tried MP but it won't show me any servers.   I do not have any of these issues running bf2142 normally.

I have tried deleting the cache and had no change.   even with my firewall off it still does not seem to help.

Any extra tips please?

Make sure you go to the "Advanced" tab in the serverbrowser and only check "Same Mod" and "Same Version".

Cant help you with the SP issue tho.

when you install the sp mod you do click on that mod dont you and not the first strike one

Hi,

Thanks for the server advice Zrix, I had missed the advanced tab at the top, now I just need to find an available game!!

And Yulemsee do you mean when I start the game? is there a seperate shortcut file for it? because when I installed I intalled the 1.25 patch, tehn FS, then FS1.1 and finally the mini mod.

if you mkae a new link and then put this in target
"I:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\Battlefield 2142\BF2142.exe" +menu 1 +fullscreen 1  +modPath mods/FS_SP"

it should work. dont forget to change the drive letter at the beginning

Tried that, it just falsjes up teh BF2142 load up screen for a second or two and then goes back to desktop and does not start the game
