Alright, I'm a bits antcy so I'm probably just going to uninstall and lose everything and reinstall everything and try to replicate this according to some screen shots I've taken.

In any case I've fixed both the Texture issue and Undrgrowth (silly me I needed vegitation too!) I used to be able to have a Soldiers folder in the editor but I believe it got corrupted or something because now it stalls my editor from loading at a certain animation (which results in a crash).

Skybox is annoying but hopefully the unofficial BF2142 editor will work adequately and fix all my problems.

And this last one is the one that I really want opinions on. All distances are assuming each block is 2 meters by 2 meters. (and fences didnt show up from this distance so I outlined them)

Basically would you guys be fine with running those distances if Flags were positioned at Space Port, Governers Villa, Residence Hall?

EDIT: The resolution butchered the words huh? Alright its 45 meters from space port to just inisde the market (cross a street and sidewalk). The whole hill is ~120 meters at its widest point. If you took the park from the side of the Space Port you would have to walk ~95 meters to get to the top of the hill.

I was able to fix the sky problem.  Make sure your files for the BF2 mod are extracted, particularly the files in the common folder (where skydome.con will be).  When it can't get the file from FirstStrike mod, it grabs it from BF2 mod.  All is working well for me now.

Ground/Space: Ground
Weather/Lighting: Night or Sunset/Eclipse

Layout Diagram: Will Be Available Once Map Terrain is Finalized

Until then imagine a big hill with spawn points circling it.

Map description: The Rebellion is growing at an alarming rate. This must be quelled! The Empire has discovered a large concentration of Rebels housed on the Sullust moon Solon and the Imperial Star Destroyer Vengeance has been orderd there. Our mission is to infiltrate the rebel sympathizer's town and erradicate all opposition. Remember, the rebels may dress like civilians so don't take chances.

Gameplay Description:
Current incarnation will offer a large scale epic fight around the inner circle of Barons Hed.

Flag points will be:
Space Port: Imperial (Start)
Governer's Villa: Rebel (Start)
Market: Neutral
Park: Neutral
Large Abode: Neutral
Residential Complex: Neutral

I think I'll make it so all neutral flags must be secured before you can capture the starting base.

Vehicles: Static Star Destroyer (either the real model from EfH or a scaled model to make it look really far away), maybe AT-PTs (once available), Land Speeders, and Speeder Bikes, possible blaster turrets.

After tossing away a craptastic first attempt I'm pretty happy with the results of what I've done so far, still lots more to do though since I'm making the first version be for 64 people.

BF2 textures  = bad. Replace immediately.

I made a BFTpaint with FS terrain textures... use the same as tpaint
http://files.filefront.com/bf2+tpaint+F … einfo.html

just replaced the low/steep/high.tga files in the data folder of Tpaint...
with FS terrain textures...

Thanks Cat, I'm gonna find out how to use Tpaint now ^,^. The one video tut is really small sad

TY do you mean BF2 textures only and not 2142. I'm just making sure you mean the grass and not the coblestone. I'm currently messing around with Gimp hopefully I can make better fitting textures (and a nicer skybox) but as I'm a noob don't expect much smile
