Whats the spec of your pc ?
Do you have the latest version of Punkbuster ?
Can you try running on low to medium settings ?
Make sure your on a 1.1 Server, your 2142 is patched to 1.25.
If all else fails, run 2142 with a fresh instal and patch to 1.25 Would I be right in saying you already had the 1.4 Beta Patch and then rewrote the 1.25 over it ?

Make sure you've chosen both:
1. A kit
2. A spawn location.

Specs: Core duo extreme QX6700, 2G Ram, 8800 GTX. Should be plenty I think.
I manually update PB.
All patches are right.
I never ran the Beta patch.
I already reloaded everything. I'm trying it again just to make sure.
Kinda weird.

As far as selecting kit and spawn, it never gets that far. It loads the map, verifies client data, then I hit deploy and it freezes.

This has happened and I forgot to mention it. After patching First Strike the game kinda loads 2142. The weird part is all the buttons say 'Button-Select etc.' It's not the First strike screen. Is that odd to you? I've tried re-installing the 1.25 patch and sometimes that works, sometimes not.

If that happens your 1.1 patch didn't work correctly and you need to reinstall FS.

Ok. I reinstalled FS. Same problem, hit deploy = freeze. the menu is fine. I downloaded the patch again, thinking the file was bad. Same thing. Still weird.
