Topic: First Stike Vs 2142

I couldnt get onto a first strike server so for the first time in weeks I played 2142. I can see now how much better first strike is. There is much more squad play in first strike, its more tactical and the classes are so much more varied. After playing FS for couple of weeks i now always come near to the top points.

Agreed. 2142 just doesn't do it for me anymore. I think the biggest thing that benefits FS over 2142 is FS's lack of cumulative points and rank system. It seems that the hacks, cheats, and non-team players tend to gravitate to all that stuff.

Plus on the ground maps the environments are quite varied, unlike 2142 where its either just desert or snow. So far we have night, desert, forest ... soon to be snow and so much more I am sure.

I have noticed a lot more squad play on FS as well ... just seems to work better.

I can't stop playing it.  I've even stopped playing FF6A and I'm at a good part in that game.
Ever since release all I've been playing is this mod.  Can't get enough of the space maps.

And always finding new things on the ground maps, which are also excellent.

tbh, i still play 2142 with my clanmates, its funny to talk to them via TS and do some weird stuff in matters of squad/teamplay

but then again i just love the "star wars" stuff and this mod, so ill stay up to both

2142 is alright, when i'm in the mood to rank myself up again, for FS i sit down, relax and play some nice games of star wars action. smile

FS is great, but I do like BF2142 just as much if not more (though I haven't played it in a week).

FS R1 is a really good teaser in my mind. The kind of teaser that sticks in your head and wont let go, but, in at least my opinion, 2142 is way more varried than FS which is why right now I prefer 2142.

2142 has vehicles, hella lot of customization, more maps, and if you know where to go or how to name squads (I generally name it TEAMWORK) you get teamwork!

FS: R2 don't fail me, take me away from this game!
